meet the doctor

Dr.Vindi Khabra, L.Ac., DAOM

Dr. Vindi Khabra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine, a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Doctorate of Acupuncture in Herbal Medicine. Dr. Vindi Khabra is a nationally certified and licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Khabra began his journey in medicine when he attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. After graduating from Western, Dr. Khabra realized he was not in agreement with the excessive administration of pharmaceutical medications throughout the Western Medical community and knew that a path in Eastern medicine was necessary to pursue. While Dr. Khabra fully agrees that pharmaceutical medications are a necessity for many patients, he also believes that pharmaceuticals are used and administered too freely without proper knowledge of side effects and long term health complications. Dr. Khabra then entered into a master’s program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon where he studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is a combined knowledge of Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, nutrition, massage and exercise. The main attraction Dr. Khabra had to TCM was that Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine is not only used in treating the symptoms, but ultimately addresses the root or cause of disease

In 2010, Dr. Vindi Khabra continued his path to get to the root cause of disease and pursued a Doctoral Degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Today, Dr. Khabra is amongst a handful of DAOM graduates in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Khabra’s main goal is to integrate his knowledge of Western Medicine with his knowledge of Eastern Medicine to more effectively and accurately treat and heal his patients. He strongly believes that it is necessary to combine both Eastern and Western styles of Medicine is necessary for a holelistic approach to patient care.
